Dr. Dave Smith joined ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ as medical director for the company's structural heart division in 2024. In this role, he supports Europe, Middle East and Africa medical affairs activities for the business.Ìý
Prior to joining ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, Dr. Smith was a consultant interventional cardiologist at the Morriston Hospital in Swansea, Wales.
He has participated as a primary investigator in numerous cardiovascular trials over the last 20 years, published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented research study data internationally at leading cardiovascular conferences.
Dr. Smith holds a doctorate degree in medicine from the University of London. He was awarded a British Heart Foundation Junior Research Fellowship, appointed to the interventional cardiac fellowship at the Hammersmith Hospital in London and was also a visiting fellow at the Hopital Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris, a renowned international cardiac center and one of Europe’s largest hospitals.
